Bar Services

Bar Services

For most special events bar services are a requirement. Whether corporate or social affairs such as company parties, social balls, charity gala's, receptions, and many other special events many of these events will demand  some form of beverage or bar services and/or stations. Whether dry bar or wet bar that may consist of just beer and wine, or full wet bar stocked with hard liquor choices and amenities, having the right service and experienced service personnel is a must. Due to liability and legal responsibility issues associated with alcoholic beverages as well as the personal safety and welfare of guests

it is only recommended that experienced licensed  professionals of legal age ever provide and disperse alcohol to anyone for any event.

I can not stress this point enough. Bar Services and the safety and welfare of guests concerns pertaining to alcoholic beverages are only as good as those who are providing the services.

BARTENDING & ALCOHOL CONCERNS

· Will your caterer provide bartending services or will you hire the service separately?

· What type of services does the bar service provider provide?

Bars, bartenders, servers, glassware, liquor, beer, wine, etc

· What menu choices of drinks and brands of liquor can the service provide?

· Make sure the service you employee has a liquor licenses.

· Some individuals want to save money and bring in their own bar services to a venue or

facility they have rented for their event. If you are one of those make sure you rent a facility

· Are you renting a venue or facility where you can BYOB and bar services into?

· What is the cost for alcohol? Is it a per person charge, by the drink or consumption or by the

   bottle?

· If by the bottle, will I be charged for any open bottle and if so will it be given to me to take

home after the event? If by the bottle do they keep and count bottles of alcohol consumed

at the end of the night?

· How will the bar service account for and monitor alcohol consumption correctly?

Will the bill be correct of  what is consumed or will there be indiscreetly padding or running

   up a large bill?

· Will the bar service you contract charge a per person charge such as $10.00, $15.00, or $20

per person instead of monitoring consumption for billing purposes?

· If a running tab or by drink assessment is used will they notify you during the event if the

alcohol bill reaches a predetermined expected amount before running over?

· Ask your bar service what is the typical cost of alcohol for the size of event you are having?

individual sitting there or will they ask the individual would you like me to fill your glass?

That is to fill up the glass if it is empty without asking? or will they ask?
